Ie: Rise in complaints on identity authentication data held by companies
Ireland’s Data Protection Commissioner has published his 2008 report this week (May 13th), which reveals an increase in the number of complaints from individuals trying to gain access to their identity authentication information and personal details.
Although the 1,031 complaints did not reflect a significant increase on 2007, a huge jump in complaints has been experienced since 2006, when just 656 were lodged.
