    It is already mandated by Department of Defense that all cybersecurity/information assurance professionals will have a recognized certification. DoD 8570 specifically outlines the whos and whats for that requirement.

    civilian fed space as well. This new legislation will do little to
    ensure competency. The feds only solution to any problem is to take a
    profession already hampered with hoop jumping and to add more hoops.
